Album Review: Dreamland by Glass Animals

I quite liked the first two Glass Animals albums and I also enjoyed the little quarantine covers they did. I had seen that this had received some pretty tough reviews, but really nothing could have prepared me for how bad this album actually was. The best thing I think you can say about it is that it is original and experimental, perhaps if someone else tried the same style it would just a bit better, but probably not. Not even the Denzel Curry feature was good. I will say tho, by far the worst thing was the lyrics, they were bland and when they weren’t bland they were cringy beyond belief. The beat on “Tangerine” was not the worst thing and “Heat Wave” was relatively close to good. I’m a bit bummed at how terrible this was, but I have faith Glass Animals will bounce back.
