I thought that this album was not terrible, it definitely didn’t take away from the argument of Nas being in the top five of all time. Because on this album he continued to show his ability to maintain a flow and ride a beat immaculately. One of my biggest qualms with him on this album is some of the lyrics. Most of the time it was okay. But sometimes he threw in some zoomerisms, some catch phrases of actual tweens. For example: “Weird flex but okay” (King’s Disease), “She hit the woah” (Replace Me), “No cap, no lie” (All Bad). These lines seemed so forced and they were so lame, especially for someone of his age and stature, I just don’t understand how he thought it was a good idea. But mostly his lyricism was pretty good. Some of the features were cool too, I love Don Tolliver, I think he’s great and also there’s this singer guy called Charlie Wilson on the song Car #85 and he was also on the new Amine album, he’s really good and also has an album out soon. This was good FOR late stage Nas, even though I love him, I think it may be time for Nas to hang it up, he would ending on a relatively high note.

Favourite Songs: King's Disease, Blue Benz, Car #85, Ultra Black, The Definition, Full Circle, The Cure

7/10
