I like Lil Yachty a lot. He’s an Atlanta Autotuney trap rapper, and yet he stands out amongst his many peers. His happy go lucky personality and aesthetic is so appealing and his music reflects it. His voice is unique and full of personality and he can even rap a lil bit. I was pretty excited for this album because I really liked Lil Boats 1 and 2. There were some pretty good songs on here, another great posse cut with Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky and Tierra Whack. (T.D.). A song with a beat that was blatantly copied from 1997 DIANNA, but it’s okay, I still liked it (Demon Time). And on most of the songs Yachty was pretty solid. But there were some terrible duds, “Range Rover Sports Truck” was just lame and “Love Jones” was kinda boring. For the most part the things I liked about this album outweighed the things I didn’t like. I loved how he blended and switched between rapping and singing. I liked that this was probably his most melodic album yet, it works for him. It remains true that if Lil Yachty calls his album Lil Boat it’s good, but if he calls it something else it flops.

Favourite Songs: Wock in Stock, Split/ Whole Time, T.D., Demon Time, Concrete Boys

Score: 7.1/10
