Haley Williams is most known for being the lead singer of Paramore, this is her solo debut. I was surprised at how different she sounded on this album from many Paramore songs. While lots of Paramore songs are Emo rock with fast punk melodies, this album is slower, more art pop and more intimate. Above all else, Haley is emotionally vulnerable throughout the album. I liked that. The instrumentation was predominantly funky bass, synths and other experimental things that I couldn’t identify. I thought that this album was so synth heavy, that it significantly decreased its appeal for me. I really enjoyed the vocals, the hooks were catchy and fun and probably the highlight of the album. The choruses were heartfelt and impressive vocally. I loved the isolated singing, it was very Björkish, and made what was being said 5x more personal. This album would be perfect for you if you love Radiohead but you kinda wish they
