I like Wiz Khalifa, I like when he shows up for a feature on someone else’s song. I don’t think he’s made a really good album yet. I think that his 2018 album was the best one so far (“Rolling Papers 2”). As far as Wiz albums go “The Saga of Wiz Khalifa” is relatively okay. His rhyming is basic and a bit cringy in parts, but nothing outrageously bad (Except for “Bammer”). It’s a short album (20 min), I think that works in its favour, because 30-50 minutes of Wiz is just too much. One of the songs was a parody of “Still D.R.E”, which was not as terrible as I was anticipated. The rest of the songs had features, so that all took up about half of the album. The features weren’t too bad, Megan thee Stallion was solid as always, I was pleasantly surprised by good verses from Quavo, Tyga and Logic. The beats were pretty generic, but did have some drops and other spiciness here and there. Overall I think this album was quite boring and there’s not really anything to be gained from listening to it. There were a couple of straight up bad songs, but the rest was just Wiz’s most generic rap possible. But sadly I’m not surprised, I don’t think we’ll ever get a good Wiz Khalifa album.
